How many Bonus Mission Pack Stories can you get? - Guild Wars Forums

Greetings and salutations helpful answer people!

I was away from Guild Wars because of college for two years, and I missed the introduction of the Bonus Mission Pack, and of course, all information related to it. I recently bought it, and was trying to find information on the wikia about how many stories (and therefore, weapons) one could get by doing the bonus missions.

I have read that the BMPs are repeatable, and from what I have read it seems that one can get as many authorized stories (and therefore weapons) as one wishes, and I just wanted to confirm that.

"Completing each mission also unlocks ???Discovery Mode??? for that mission, adding three hidden, bonus goals for you to discover. For each bonus goal you complete, you will receive an additional 2,500 gold and Durmand will offer any one character on your account an additional authorized story. The bonus goals can only be earned once for each account, but they offer nothing that cannot be obtained through simply running the missions repeatedly, as there is no limit to the number of times you may repeat a mission for an additional 500 gold and authorized story. So am I right in my understanding that a character can obtain as many charr, tengu, undead and mursaat weapons as one wishes, as long as one is willing to repeatedly do the missions? And I understand that one can only do the hidden bonuses once for the whole account.

You understood it perfectly right

Notice that the book (and thus the weapon) is customized for the char that did the mission. Only a discovery can carry from one char to another (on the same account ofc).

By "a discovery can carry from one character to another" do you just mean that any discovery made by one character affects the whole account as the wiki states, or do you mean that a story resulting from a discovery can be transferred to another character? I can interpret it either way, so I wanted to clarify.

Once "discovery mode" is unlocked by one character, all characters have access to it.

When you make a certain discovery, on any char, you can, once per account, "claim" it (by speaking with the storyteller and telling him about it) by any char on your account, which, at this point, will recieve an authorized book for it. There is no real gain of doint it on one char instead of another though.

Essentially, you can get an individual discovery only once for the whole account, but it can be "used" by any character on the account.
